NW Rods & Woodies

A project to really get revved up about! Craig N. and Scott W. contacted Maple Glen Design to work on their new logo, NorthWest Rods & Woodies. Located in the Pacific Northwest, the two needed a logo that had a taste of automobiles, with a little twist. Craig said the shape needed to be like that of a surf board, something chrome and wood, but the most important part was the middle NW. Scott even drew up the sketch on how he wanted the angles of the center letters and side spears.

“Other than the middle elements, the guys gave me the freedom to create something fun, laid-back, and yet professional.  I could see this logo being placed on packaging, stickers, or even used on an auto show give-away,” said Heather. The best surprise for the guys was a subtle one – the image of Oregon’s Mount Hood in the wood grain.
