Maple Glen Design owner and designer, Heather Noel Williams, was born and raised in California surrounded by art and design of all kinds. “I am the third generation of artists. The apple didn’t fall far from the family tree for me,” said Heather. Her grandmother was a graduate of Moore College of Art in Philadelphia while her mother was a graduate of The Art Institute of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. When it came time to think about careers and college, it was just a matter of where not what.

In 1989, Heather graduated from her mothers alma mater with a degree in Visual Communications. Six months later, she returned to the west coast to begin her career as a graphic designer.

 

Heather spent many years as a designer for Elsevier, Inc., formerly Harcourt Brace Publishing, in San Diego, CA. Soon, a few after-hours design projects gave way to another idea….. and Maple Glen Design was born. MGD is now a teenager and like all teenagers, is still growing! The passion to create new and exciting designs for clients drives Heather and her team everyday.

 

Married with two sons, Heather can be seen outside the office cycling the streets or mountain biking the trails of San Diego. She also enjoys cooking at the beach with her family and friends – keeping an eye out for creative inspiration along the way.
